The holidays can make a changed relationship with your adult child feel especially present. A familiar recipe, a question about your plans, or a photograph of another family gathering can bring up feelings you thought you had settled—or feelings you haven't yet found words for.
Perhaps you have no contact with your child and are facing another season without them. Perhaps you are communicating again, but invitations, expectations, and time together still feel uncertain. You may miss your grandchildren, feel unsure where you belong, or find yourself waiting for a message that could change the whole day.
These guided holiday support groups offer a place to bring those experiences and receive support as you find your way through the season.
For mothers who currently have no communication or direct contact with their adult child.
We will explore the grief of absence, the pull of waiting for contact, missing children and grandchildren, and the challenge of holidays that look different from what you imagined. Together, we will consider what to keep, what to change, and how to make plans that support you through this season.
This group is reserved for mothers navigating no contact, so discussions about visits and renewed relationships won't become the focus of your time together.
For mothers who have some contact with their adult child, including limited contact or a renewed relationship following estrangement.
Having contact can bring relief and still leave you unsure how to approach the holidays. You may be navigating invitations, changed traditions, time with grandchildren, or the fear of saying something that strains a fragile connection.
We will explore expectations, boundaries, disappointment, and ways to approach contact with greater steadiness and care. There will also be room for the grief of a relationship that feels different from the one you hoped to have.

Each session includes education, guided reflection, practical tools, and facilitated sharing around a weekly topic. Grief will be a central part of our work, including the losses connected to traditions, belonging, motherhood, and the future you pictured.
There is room for tears, anger, uncertainty, and moments when you don't know what to say. You can participate without having everything figured out.
Kreed will guide the discussion, help participants share the airtime, and gently redirect conversations when needed. We will focus on our own experiences and responses, avoiding diagnoses of absent family members, speculation about their motives, and unsolicited advice.
You will be invited to reflect, listen, and consider what might help you through the days ahead. Sharing is always optional.
Your enrollment includes companion private podcast episodes that expand on our weekly themes and offer reflection prompts you can return to in your own time.
The audio will remain available through March 31, 2027, giving you time to revisit it after the group ends. Personal sharing during live sessions will not be recorded.

Apply to join
The brief application helps Kreed understand your current relationship circumstances and assess whether the group format is a good fit. You don't need to know exactly what you need before applying.
You will be asked about your current contact with your child, what you are experiencing, and your willingness to participate in a guided, reflective group. Applying does not commit you to enrolling or guarantee a place.
